Sleeping Beauty Animation
I have just been sitting and staring at this for the longest time. I mean, LOOK AT IT. Look how outstanding this animation is. All by hand. The way her hair moves, the way the lines in that skirt move, everything is perfect. It’s hypnotizing.

Oh my gosh this is incredible. Just wow. All the respect for the talented guys who did this.
Remember my pet caterpillar Shane? Found him at church during a sermon about Satan XD. He was such a fun pet in his larval stage. He used to love to swing from my hair.
Then everything changed when he pupated. He never touched me. He just spent several months looking and acting like a turd
But it was worth it! Look at him now! He’s so fluffy I’m gonna die!! And the friendly disposition has returned full force! Now he sits on my shoulder watching The Sing Off with me. Also, he’s a she! and she just laid eggs! I can’t wait for the 2nd generation!

Animation errors from Brave {x}
If we left animation to the computers (instead of the animators armed with computers) I imagine movies would look more like this.
I used to hang around the Character Effects team a lot, and one day an animator ranted “ALL THE SNAILS IN TURBO ARE FLOATING LIKE 1 MILLIMETER OFF THE GROUND AND WE CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHY”

Tarzan was the 3rd film I worked on in my days at Disney Feature Animation. I worked on “Porter”, Jane’s father. But, every so often I would get to help out on this lovely lady. Tarzan was a fantastic film that unfortunately seems to have been a little forgotten. So for throwback Thursday, I’m bringing her back!
I DONT THINK PEOPLE UNDERSTAND HOW HARD ANIMATORS WORK
WHAT BUGS ME MOST IS WHEN ANY ANIMATED MOVIE BECOMES FAMOUS (DISNEY, PIXAR, ANIME’S, AND TV SHOWS) THE WRITER GETS 99.9999% OF THE CREDIT.
DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO DRAW THE SAME CHARACTER SLOWLY MOVING 24 TIMES- ONLY TO MAKE ONE SECOND OF ANIMATION?
HOW MANY SKETCHES THEY MADE?
TIGHT SCHEDULES?
PEOPLE NEED TO APPRECIATE ANIMATORS MORE.
